Dr. Tracy joined the faculty of the George Washington University in 2004. She has been an active member of the Washington, D.C. Cardiology community, moving to GW after many years at Georgetown University. She is active in the Heart Rhythm Society, the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. She has helped develop the state of the art cardiac electrophysiology laboratory at the George Washington University Hospital and has lead the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology training program which has graduated multiple highly trained and skilled electrophysiologists She is active in humanitarian efforts and has led teams to Honduras to deliver advances cardiac care to indigent patients.

Dr. Tracy is involved in National Institutes of Health (NIH)-sponsored and other atrial fibrillation investigations. She has been deeply involved in the development of cardiology practice guidelines and other documents used by the cardiology community worldwide. Her work in Honduras has inspired ongoing research and publication.
