Inclement Weather Policy School of
Medicine and Health Sciences
Those in the MD Program (Years III and IV) and HS Students on Clinical Rotations are expected to meet their clinical responsibilities and to stay in touch with their resident and the clerkship or course director. In the event of adverse weather, all residents and fellows are required to report to their assigned rotations. University closure has no effect on resident and fellow work schedules. Basic Science faculty and GWUMC staff will follow the University policy unless otherwise requested by their chair or supervisor. All employees deemed essential must report to work. The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program follows the University policy regarding cancellation of classes due to inclement weather, which is recorded on 202-994-5050. Students are expected to attend clinical immersion and internships unless directed otherwise by their clinical instructor or Program faculty.
