Job Description / Key Responsibilities
Conduct pharmacogenetic and statistical analyses
Specific responsibilities include:
Statistical consulting on pharmacogenetic studies, clinical trials and research
projects in service of the pharmaceutical, biotechnical and research industries
• Work in a team environment on pharmacogenetic and statistical analysis
projects
• Communicating with clients to ensure goals and expectations of each project
are met
• Writing statistical analysis reports (SARs) describing methodology / results to
clients
• Conducting pharmacogenetic and statistical analyses including, but not
limited to: genetic association on both binary and quantitative traits in
SNP genotyping studies, linkage analysis, pharmacokinetic and
pharmacodynamic analysis, clinical statistics, power and sample size
evaluation, genotypic and phenotypic quality control, covariate selection,
haplotype analysis, population stratification and epistatic interactions
• Implementation of a wide range of statistical methodology including, but not
limited to: mixed modeling, general linear modeling, logistic regression,
variance components, repeated measures, likelihood-based statistics,
multiple comparison adjustments, permutation testing, bootstrapping and
survival analysis


Minimum requirements:
• Advanced degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics or related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of statistical approaches transferable to biological analyses
• Knowledge of biological processes and / or genetics highly preferred
• Ability to adapt and interact in a team environment
• Strong programming skills (SAS and/or R preferred)
• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United
States. BioStat Solutions, Inc. does not anticipate providing sponsorship for

• Must read, write and speak fluent English
