What's best about the School of Public Health and Health Services at GW?

The school brings together the quantitative and scientific aspect of public health research while maintaining a human face to the myriad of health problems that affect communities both domestic and foreign. The school also gives many opportunities to the students to take what they learn at the school and be able to apply it to problems facing the community.

What's best about living in the Washington, DC Area?

Growing up in the DC area I've had the opportunity to appreciate the fact that while there is an inherent "American" flair as the nation's capital, there are also so many opportunities to learn about people from all over the world through the different organizations, embassies, and groups that have a base in DC.

My message to applicants:

I would suggest keeping an open mind about the experiences you'll have when taking courses related and not related to your specific interest because you never know when either you'll find a new passion in a class that's required but not specifically for your track or you'll be able to use classes and experiences you would never have pursued otherwise in order to further your already established goals.
