Small Area Analysis and Economic Aspects of Health Disparities

Brief Project Description

Sponsor: National Minority Health Foundation, Inc.
Consultant: Ann Goldman, MA, MPH
Descriptive epidemiologic methods will be used to analyze existing census and vital statistics data and economic data to determine the costs of premature deaths and disease in both predominately minority and non-minority zip codes in the US. This information will be used as part of current and future research projects that utilize small area analysis to better understand U.S. health disparities from an economic perspective.
