Ms. Pomerantz is principal investigator of Health Information Partners (HIPS), a community/university health information outreach coalition of 18 organizations in the District of Columbia. With funding from the University of Maryland and the National Library of Medicine, HIPS is engaged in several community projects designed to reduce disparities in access to health information for poor and underserved residents.
