HIV/AIDS policy

Brief Project Description

CHSRP has conducted numerous studies focused on access to, and financing of, HIV care, including coordinating the Medicaid and Ryan White CARE Act programs; expanding Medicaid eligibility for people with HIV; and integrating HIV prevention into primary care settings. Of special interest is the Center for Integrated HIV Care Networks, funded by the HIV/AIDS Bureau of the Health Resources and Services Administration as a Special Project of National Significance. This initiative is designed to demonstrate the feasibility of integrating HIV care networks in order to enhance their ability to compete successfully in a managed care environment and to encourage contractual arrangements between HIV care networks and managed care plans.
