Gender Differences in Cardiovascular Care ProjectBrief Project DescriptionThe Jacobs Institute of Women's Health (JIWH) collaborated with the National Committee for Quality Assurance and RAND on this study jointly funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the American Heart Association. The study identified gender, racial and ethnic differences in cardiovascular disease for Health Plan Employer Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures for beta blockers, diabetes management, and cholesterol management. The results of the study were published in the May/June 2007 issue of Women's Health Issues, the peer-reviewed journal of the JIWH.
