Cancer Patterns in Gulf War Era Veterans

The purpose of this project is to identify any cancer types occurring in excess among U.S. veterans deployed to the 1991-92 Gulf War. The study matches records of approximately 1.5 million Gulf War era veterans, half of them deployed to the Persian Gulf and half of them not, with state cancer registries. This project involves collaboration with researchers at the Department of Veterans Affairs' Environmetnal Epidemiology office.
