Clinical CareWashington Hospital CenterThe Washington Hospital Center (WHC) has operated an Infectious Diseases Clinic providing care to persons living with HIV/AIDS since 1994. The Washington Hospital Center's Infectious Disease department provides specialized HIV care to patients who are either infected or affected by HIV. Through a Ryan White Part C grant as well as our partnership with National Children's Hospital's Ryan White Part A and D programs, the clinic is able to offer the following services within its clinic setting: case management, medication adherence and counseling, psychological evaluation and therapy, patient advocacy, and clinical trials. The Clinic also partners with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in providing care to HIV positive pregnant women. Currently, the Clinic sees over 700 patients. |
