Current HIV/AIDS Research Activities:

• Policy research related to people with HIV/AIDS and other disabilities, with an emphasis on Medicaid and Medicare policies.
• Recent work has included examining prescription drug policy issues, including issues facing dual eligibles as they transition to the Medicare Part D program, surveying state Medicaid prescription drug policies, and examining state approaches to using clinical evidence in managing the Medicaid pharmacy benefit.
• Developing educational materials for consumers. Recent publications include consumer guides to Medicare Part D and a guide on navigating Medicare and Medicaid for people with disabilities.
• Serving as an informal policy advisor to the HIV Medicaid and Medicare Working Group, a coalition of national, state, and local HIV/AIDS organizations, as well as the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD).
