Current HIV/AIDS Educational Activities:

  • Special Project Advisor, Parent–child communications to prevent pregnancy, HIV, and STD's
  • Dissertation Advisor, Intimate partner violence and STD's, including HIV, during pregnancy among African American women in the District of Columbia
  • Consultation on community and school–based HIV/AIDS education policies, programs and practices.

Current HIV/AIDS Research Activities:

  • Co-Investigator, Building Healthy Teen Relationships and Reproductive Practices to Increase Interpartum Intervals. National Institute of Child Health & Development. A randomized, behavioral intervention trial using cellular telephone-based individual counseling sessions, as well as family and group support components with pregnant African American and Hispanic adolescents to prevent repeat pregnancy.
  • HIV/AIDS Prevention Community Planning. Research on the impact of interventions to increase use of behavioral data in HIV/AIDS community planning.
  • Parent-child communications to prevent early sexual onset intervention follow-up studies
  • Research on school-based HIV/AIDS education policies, programs and practices.
