Ruth Katz, JD, MPHRuth Katz is Dean and Walter G. Ross Professor of Health Policy at The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services.
Ruth J. Katz is one of those people who sometimes seems to be everywhere at once. As Dean, she is the guiding force behind initiatives that have heightened the School's profile, attracted new faculty, raised more research dollars, overhauled the curriculum and strengthened ties with the many agencies and organizations in Washington, DC doing critical public health work. "It is a great honor to serve as the School's Dean," she says. "There is so much talent among our students, our faculty and our administration, and I am convinced we have the opportunity to become a model of excellence among the nation's public health schools."
