Public Health Grand Rounds : 2006-2007

The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services launched a new lecture series – Public Health Grand Rounds – in September 2006. Public Health Grand Rounds will be held monthly during the 2006 – 2007 academic year, and is open to the Medical Center, the University, and all those within the public health and healthcare community. Pfizer, Inc. is sponsoring the nine-part series.

Inspired by Pfizer, Inc.'s 2006 book of the same name, the theme for this year's Grand Rounds series is "Milestones in Public Health." Each lecture will focus on one area of public health where notable past accomplishments are matched by the significant challenges that lie ahead. The Kaiser Family Foundation will make each lecture available as a video and podcast. To access the lectures, visit http://www.kaisernetwork.org/ and click on "View HealthCasts." A transcript of each lecture is also available on the Web site.

A light lunch will be served at each Public Health Grand Rounds session. CME credit is also available. For more information, call 202-994-5179.
