Public Health Grand Rounds : 2007-2008
The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services launched a new lecture series – Public Health Grand Rounds – in September 2006. Public Health Grand Rounds will be held monthly during the 2007 – 2008 academic year, and is open to the Medical Center, the University, and all those within the public health and healthcare community. Pfizer, Inc. is sponsoring the nine-part series.
The theme for this year's Grand Rounds series is "The Translation of Science into Public Health Policy". Each lecture will focus on one area where health policy decision making has been significantly influenced by research findings. The Kaiser Family Foundation will make each lecture available as a video and podcast. Archived webcasts of the lectures are available online from http://www.kaisernetwork.org/ . A transcript of each lecture is also available on the Web site.
A light lunch will be served at each Public Health Grand Rounds session. CME credit is also available. For more information, call 202-994-5179.
