Program OverviewMPH in Public Health Communication & MarketingOur MPH program was created in response to several important insights:
We turned these insights into what we believe is a unique MPH program, ideally suited to the public health challenges of the 21st century. Through coursework in topics like market research, health advocacy, school health promotion, and social marketing, as well as the core public health competencies, our graduates become equally competent at communication and marketing. Even in introductory courses, we emphasize the application of ideas, allowing students learn to use their new skills to influence people and places to promote improved health. We are confident that we've developed an innovative curriculum that will prepare our students to be highly valued members of any public health team, and to eventually become leaders in the field. Graduate Certificate in Public Health Communication & MarketingOur 18 credit hour graduate certificate program was created primarily for people currently working in the field of public health who are seeking advanced training in communication and marketing, and for graduate students in public health and other related disciplines who see value in adding an additional facet to their current training program. This certificate program is intended to be highly flexible, allowing students to take the courses which best support their intellectual interests and professional objectives. A minimum of 9 of these credit hours, however, must be selected from our core public health communication and marketing courses. We are interested in offering the graduate certificate program to public health organizations seeking to improve the communication and marketing skills of their employees. If this is of potential interest to your organization, please don't hesitate to contact us. |
