Practicum Opportunities

As part of the curriculum, in order to get an MPH degree, every student is responsible to complete a practicum at an outside organization, unless waived by the school. The School of Public Health and Health Services (SPHHS) has laid out core competencies that need to be met in order for a student to get a complete experience, enveloping the essentials that lead up to the degree attained in the track of interest. The Public Health Communications and Marketing (PHCM) core competencies are as follows:

  1. Help organizations design, plan, implement and evaluate public health communications and marketing programs.
  2. Help organizations plan and implement marketing research for public health initiatives.
  3. Help organizations develop effective delivery channels for public health products and services.
