Public Health Communication and MarketingWho We Are
Created in the spring of 2006, our program was born from the belief that communication and marketing are powerful disciplines that are greatly needed to address the world's most pressing public health challenges. We share that belief with many of the world's most important public health institutions - including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Institute of Medicine, the World Health Organization, the Pan American Health Organization, and the Associations of Schools of Public Health. Our program focuses in equal measures on teaching, research, and service to the community. TeachingThrough our teaching program, we currently offer a unique Master of Public Health degree and a Graduate Certificate in Public Health Communication & Marketing. More information on these degree programs can be found at our Program Overview site. In addition, course details and requirements are available in our Curriculum Guide. ResearchOur research interests are many and varied. In broad terms they include:
Wherever possible, we attempt to capture the important findings from this research and share them broadly with members of our community through journal articles, case studies, community presentations, and a variety of other means. ServiceCommunity service is a critical element of our program. Our faculty are passionate about engaging with organizations that fight the good fight to promote health, and our students are equally passionate about going beyond the classroom to further develop their skills in real-world settings. None of this would be possible without our community partners - government, non-profit, and even for-profit organizations that are seeking to make a difference through advancing the public's health.
