Exercise Science Student AssociationsThe Society of Exercise Science Students (SESS)The Society of Exercise Science Students brings together undergraduate and graduate students pursuing majors within the Department of Exercise Science. SESS is built on the three pillars of scholarship, charity and camaraderie. Recognizing that their interest and expertise in health, fitness and disease represents a unique body of knowledge at GW, SESS works to unify students within the major, promote friendship, and provide service to the Department, the university and the broader community. Activities include monthly meetings; social occasions, such as Bowling Night and pot-luck dinners; volunteer opportunities, including group participation in benefit runs and tutoring; a Fall Health Fair held in Kogan Plaza to which offers free health and physical fitness screenings and publicizes Exercise Science programs to the GW community; and Career Day, which brings current students together with alumni to talk about opportunities in the field.
