Dear Alumni,

There are many exciting alumni events taking place in the near future. We wanted to be sure to highlight a few of them for you.

The first set of events is taking place at the upcoming ACHE Congress in Chicago, IL. The following are open to HSML alumni -

  • HSMLAA Annual Meeting - March 24; 1 pm
  • New Alumni Orientation - March 24; 3 pm
  • Annual HSML Alumni Banquet - March 24; 6 pm

For more information and to register, please click here. Registrations are due by March 16.

Additionally, PHAA, PHSA, DO, and GWAA are hosting an Evening of Professional Skill Building and Speed Network for SPHHS alumni on April 7. Alumni will have the opportunity to participate in professional skill building sessions that are targeted to mid-level professionals and network with other alumni in numerous public health fields.

Finally, we would like to invite all alumni to the PHAA Annual Meeting on May 19. At this meeting you will have an opportunity to learn about PHAA accomplishments from the past year, discuss activities for the upcoming year, and vote for incoming PHAA board members. Please mark it on your calendar now. More information coming soon!

We hope to see you at these upcoming events and invite you to contact us with any questions or comments that you might have.

Sincerely,

Talk to Accepted Students!
The SPHHS Office of Admissions is looking for alumni to help at their upcoming open house on Saturday, March 28. This is a fantastic opportunity to interact with current and incoming SPHHS students!

Alumni are needed for the student panel discussion from 10:00 - 11:15 am and for the departmental break out lunches from 11:15 am - 1:00 pm. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to volunteers. If you are interested in helping with either sessions or both, please contact Emily Rhineberger by March 16.

An Evening of Professional Skill-Building and Networking
Please
join the PHAA, PHSA, DO, and GWAA for an evening of professional skill building and networking. The evening will be split into two parts - discussions on topics such as how to develop and maintain professional networks, the art of salary negotiation, advancing to the next level through leadership, and a speed networking session to connect alumni with other alumni and current students. Please RSVP here by Friday, April 3.

Volunteer at Graduation
Help us welcome the newest group of SPHHS alumni into the ranks! At the SPHHS graduation ceremony on May 16, we are looking for alumni to help us congratulate the graduates, collect change of address information, and talk to them about what it is like to be a SPHHS alumnus/a.  If you are able to help, please contact Kate Duis.
