Master's Programs

We are pleased to offer a variety of masters programs for the public health professional, including a master of public health, master of health services administration, master of science in exercise science, health policy, or public health microbiology and emerging infectious diseases, as well as masters programs offered in conjunction with other GW schools.

Master of Public Health (MPH)

Students prepare to define, critically assess, and resolve public health problems. The MPH Core Course Competencies are designed to provide students with a broad public health context as well as a critical foundation for subsequent coursework. Students acquire a comprehensive understanding of the foundation sciences of public health (disease mechanisms, epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, social and behavioral sciences, health policy, and health management as well as in-depth training in one of the following program areas:

Master of Health Services Administration

Master of Science Exercise Science

Master of Science Health Policy

MS in Public Health Microbiology and Emerging Infectious Diseases
