DrPH candidate Lee Hurt has been awarded an Environmental Health Scholarship by the Association of Schools of Public Health and the CDC's National Center for Environmental Health. She won in the Community Design Category for her dissertation research, "The Association Between Residential Environments and Prevalence of Obesity among Maryland Children Enrolled in Medicaid."  Six doctoral-level students have been selected to receive the scholarship.   Recipients will have the opportunity to pursue their doctoral-level studies while receiving guidance and input from CDC experts in two key areas of study: the relationship between public health and community design; and, the relationship between public health and climate change.

 Congratulations!
