George Washington students
Students are responsible for pre-rounding on their personal patients prior to rounds and presenting to the team on daily rounds including a complete assessment and plan. Students observe and assist in surgeries and follow their respective patients from admission until discharge thus establishing a pattern of continuity of care. Students will also experience patient care in an outpatient setting by seeing patients in the urology clinic under the supervision of the faculty members.
Acting Internship/Visiting Students
Acting Interns and Visiting Students will be treated as a urology intern with the same responsibilities and opportunities as a resident. Responsibilities include caring for their personal patients as well as overseeing the third year medical students and their respective patients. In essence, they are in charge of overseeing pre-rounds, rounds, and patient care of the in-house patients. Opportunities include observing and assisting on surgical cases and participating in patient care in an outpatient setting in the urology clinic under the supervision of faculty members.
