Spring 2008

General information:
Registration Dates: November 5, 2007 to December 14, 2007.
       A late fee of $80.00 will be charged to those who do not register by 5 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2007.

     - Register for classes on GWEB at http://my.gwu.edu/
     - GWEB will be available from 7 am to 8 pm, on days when the University is open.

ACCESS TO REGISTRATION WILL BE PROHIBITED IF THERE ARE DEPARTAMENTAL HOLDS ON YOUR STUDENT RECORD. Holds can be placed for academic, administrative, or financial reasons. Common ones include parking fines, overdue library materials fines, student account holds, etc. Please make sure all holds have been removed prior to registration. You can check in GWEB in the “Student Records Information Menu”, under “View Student Holds”. A hold can only be removed by the office that placed it; a phone number is usually listed in GWEB.

Access to Registration
The following is required to register by GWEB:

Your Student Identification Number (GWid) is necessary. A GWid is the letter 'G' followed by an eight-digit number. You can retrieve this number at the GWEB Info System link (http://my.gwu.edu/) by
- Selecting the “GWEB Info System” tab in the upper left corner
- Clicking on the underlined GWid, follow the instructions on the web page which will open.
- If you are not able to retrieve your GWid online please call Student Technology Services (STS) at 202-994-7041.

Your Personal Identification Number (PIN): New students are assigned PINs EITHER as their birth month, birth day and last 2-digits of birth year (i.e., 011871) OR their birth month, birth year and the numbers “99” (i.e. 077999). This number, together with the nine-digit identification number, creates a unique combination designed to ensure private access to your record. It is extremely important that this number be kept confidential. You are strongly encouraged to change your PIN, which you may do by GWEB.

GWeb Registration

Using the GWEB Information System: You may register on the GWEB Information System at http://my.gwu.edu/
- Select the GWeb Information System option on the menu in the top left hand corner under “My GW.”
- Enter G followed by the eight-digit student GW id number and your six-digit PIN on the login screen. The main menu of the GWeb Information System should appear.
- Click on “Student Records & Registration Menu,” then “Registration Menu.” Select “Register, Drop and/or Add Classes.”
- You will be prompted for a term. Select Spring 2008.
- Enter your CRNs (Course Reference Numbers) into the numbered boxes and click on “Submit Changes.” You will immediately see if you have been successful or be shown any problems with your request.
- You may add additional courses by entering the CRNs in the numbered boxes. To drop a course select the Drop option in the Action Column next to the course you wish to drop (See Required CRN’s at the bottom of this page).
When you are finished, print out your schedule by selecting the appropriate button at the bottom of the page. Please be sure to review your schedule to make sure that it is correct.

The course designation or clerkship abbreviation, course number, and credit hours below are for the spring 2008 semester, beginning January 2, 2008 to June 20, 2008 (Rotations 4-6) :

*If you are enrolled for additional electives during your Neurology block, those courses will be added by the Registrar in the Dean’s Office.
