Jeremy Brown, MD

Jeremy Brown is the Director of Clinical Research and an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at The George Washington University Medical Center. He is a practicing emergency physician, teaches an undergraduate course in clinical research in the university, and is the author of the forthcoming Oxford American Handbook of Emergency Medicine. He is the principal investigator for several studies in the GWU ED, where he also runs the HIV screening program.

Naomi Luban, MD, is Chief, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology; and Director of the Transfusion Medicine/Donor Center at the Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC). She is also Vice Chairman for Academic Affairs in the Department of Pediatrics at CNMC; and Associate Program Director of the Pediatric Clinical Research Center. She is Professor of Pediatrics and Pathology, The George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC.

Dr. Luban received her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, New York. She has published numerous journal articles, books, and book chapters. She is an editorial board member for Transfusion. Dr. Luban is a peer reviewer for Transfusion, JAMA, Immunohematology, The Journal of Pediatrics, and Pediatric Blood and Cancer, among others.

Dr. Luban is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Association of Blood Banks, American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Pediatric Society and Society for Pediatric Research. She has been on several FDA and NIH committees and review groups and currently serves as a member of the American Board of Pediatrics and U.S. Pharmacopeia.
