John Pan, MD
Track Director
Dr. Pan is a 1970 graduate of the George Washington University Medical School and is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He has been in practice for over 25 years and he is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the George Washington University Medical Center. Dr. Pan began to recognize the value of integrating other systems of medical treatments into total healthcare and in 1997 founded the Center for Integrative Medicine in Washington, DC.
For the Center, in addition to serving as its overall Director and Medical Director, Dr. Pan practices gynecology, combining Western Allopathic medicine and principles of Oriental medicine, with emphasis on non-invasive, non-toxic remedies and attention to emotional and life style factors that underlie illness.
He is actively engaged in research and education, serving as investigator in research projects and preceptor for medical students and residents taking clinical course work at the Center.
Mikhail Kogan, MD
Dr. Kogan graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. He continued medical training at the Internal and Social Medicine residency program at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY. After completing medical residency he came to Washington, D.C. to do a fellowship in geriatrics. During his medical training, he also persued life long interest in learning holistic and integrative approaches. He studied nutrition and energy healing modalities such as Reiki, basics of traditional chinese medicine, ayurveda, and homeopathy. In addition to learning about different modalities, he helped to organize over a dozen of medical student retreats geared toward submerged learning of self care in medical training and different alternative modalities, bringing together students and well know integrative medicine leaders from across the country.
After completion of his Geriatric fellowship, Dr. Kogan has joined the Geriatric’s division at The George Washington University. He works part time at the Center for Integrative Medicine bringing together his expertise in alternative modalities, balanced nutrition, and preventive medicine for adults across all ages, further specializing in healthy aging.
