Welcome to the Department of Pathology at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Pathology at GW is a dynamic department in a world-class medical center located in the heart of the nation's capital, Washington, DC. Our talented and dedicated faculty, fellows, residents, students, and staff combine to bring the very best in pathology and clinical laboratory services, medical education, and research to our community, the region, and the nation.
In 2002, the brand new, state-of-the-art, 370-bed GW Hospital , located immediately adjacent to the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, was opened. This facility provides a modern physical plant and cutting-edge technology that is unsurpassed anywhere in the country. The clinical laboratories are located in a wing of the new building dedicated totally to the Department of Pathology, where both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology services are housed in adjoining space. Our research laboratories are located in the adjacent medical school building.
We're happy to present information here about our faculty, our residency and fellowship programs, our various student programs and our active research endeavors.
Enjoy your visit and please visit us again when we re-launch later this year!
