A Fight Against Hunger
About 600 GW students, faculty and staff from the School of Medicine and Health Sciences learned about the severity of malnutrition Friday as part of the school's Community Service Day, where they stuffed 60,000 bags of food to be sent to victims of the famine in Somalia.

On Saturday, August 20, 2011, GW held its annual White Coat and Honor Code Ceremony in Lisner Auditorium. The GW Medical community welcomed its new class of medical students and reminded them that a career in medicine is a lifelong journey of service to others.
