Health Information, Privacy and Security (HIPS) Training

(previously referred to as HIPAA Training)
Is now offered through CITI!

If you are required to take HIPAA for Researchers, Biomedical / Social Behavioral CITI training, please log onto CITI:  www.citiprogram.org .

New CITI Users: Log-In Instructions

1. New users:  Log on to CITI at: www.citiprogram.org
2. Click the "Register for the CITI Course " link. This will take you to the main registration page.
3. Select the GWU from the "ALL OTHERS" pull-down menu and click 'submit'.
4. Complete the 'username and password' steps.
5. Complete the full registration process (this is the info that will help GW identify you in the CITI system)

Existing CITI Users: Log-In Instructions

1. Log on to CITI at:  www.citiprogram.org
2. Enter your username/password.
3. This will take you to the Learners Menu
4. Click:  Change Group
5. Select:  Health Information Privacy and Security (HIPS)
6. Complete the HIPS/HIPAA Training
7. Go back to Learners Menu
8. Click:  Change Group
9. Select:  Biomedical Investigators / Social & Behavioral Researchers
