General Information
The Proteomics facility consists of an established mass spectrometry laboratory and a separation unit that is currently being implemented.

Close relations have been established with the Genomics Core Facility, providing the GWU scientific community with the opportunity to perform state-of the art experiments in genomics and proteomics.

The Facility also offers hand-on learning opportunity to GWU students, as such those
in the Master Program in Genomics Proteomics and Bioinformatics.

Facility Goals and Research Objectives
The primary goal of the facility is to help the GWU community by developing and implementing analytical methods that are tailored to the particular needs of research projects in biochemistry, pharmacology and medicine.

Facility Staff will assist the scientific community in mass spectrometric analysis. In addition, our “open door policy” allows full access to important analytical resources to any authorized user at moderate hourly fees.

The facility has the main research objective in developing new tools and techniques to analyze biopolymers. In this regard, besides conventional mass spectrometry analysis, the facility features three instrument equipped for CRIMS analysis.
