CMIA begins implementation of all-electronic report of time allocation and usage. This will be via the GroupWise calendar. Internet option will be very limited in these tasks. CMIA users need to download GroupWise client to their computers in order to manage time allocation from their office. A computer is available at the CMIA just in front of 406K (confocal microscope) with access to the GroupWise account. There is a separate calendar for each instrument currently offered.
Format is changing a bit, which will facilitate usage reporting.
- Users of the confocal microscope in the subject line need to enter in the following format:
P.I. name/User name/Confocal1 (for the BioRad/Olympus station), then select desired time duration.
- Users of epi-fluorescence Olympus microscope should enter in the subject line:
PI name/User name/Olympus BX60
- Users of inverted epi-fluorescence NIKON microscope should enter in the subject line:
PI name/user name/NIKON
- For the users of KODAK X-Ray film processor the subject line should include:
PI name/User name/ KODAK # of films processed
- For densitometer users the subject line should include:
PI name/User name/Densitometer
the time spent on the instrument should be included in the appointment.
GroupWise client is installed on the computer with densitometers.
- For JEOL TEM the subject line should include:
P.I. name/User name/JEOL
Please contact me if you have questions regarding this change.
