Welcome to the Department of Pharmacology & Physiology at The George Washington University. We provide unique
research opportunities at the predoctoral and postdoctoral levels. We also offer courses in Pharmacology and
Physiology for Medical and Health Sciences students, as well as a number of graduate-level courses. Our main location is Ross
Hall, which is next to the Foggy Bottom/GWU Metro station (Orange/Blue Lines) and 5 blocks from The White House.
Some of our faculty are located nearby at the J. Craig Venter Institute, the Children's National Medical Center and the
National Institutes of Health (NIH). Our mission is to provide the highest quality of educational opportunities to our community,
and to advance scientific knowledge and improve human health through leading-edge research in the biomedical sciences.
