Technical Support Services

Classroom Services offers on-site technical support service for learning spaces in the following locations: Ross Hall, Himmelfarb Library, the 6th Floor of the GW Hospital, and 2175 K Street, NW.  Currently, our technical support team is comprised of two (2) full-time technicians who can assist clients with their audiovisual, projection, teleconferencing, and computer needs. 

Technician Availability and Service Calls

On-site technicians are available between 7:30 am and 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday to assist clients with the portable or stationary equipment located in over 40 learning spaces in the buildings identified above.

Equipment Delivery, Set Up, and Removal

Delivery, set-up, and removal of equipment are services we provide to clients who have scheduled their activity through Classroom Services, or for clients who have obtained equipment through the equipment loan service.  

Scheduling a Request for On-Site Support

Clients are required to notify Classroom Services at least 48 hours in advance of the planned activity.  The following information must be provided at the time of scheduling:  the date, time, location, contact information for the GW representative, and any additional details regarding equipment requests. 

Rates and Fees

Currently there is no charge for on-site technical support services provided during the normal service hours (Mondays-Fridays, 7:30 am – 9:00 pm). However, technical support services beyond normal service hours must be made through Classroom Services and will be subject to technical support fees.
