Research Interests
I am a board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and have practiced at The George Washington University Medical Center since joining the faculty of the Department of Medicine in 2001. As an academic clinician, my roles include teaching, participating in clinical and basic science research and caring for patients with a variety of infectious complications.

My clinical responsibilities include caring for patients with HIV/AIDS in the inpatient and outpatient setting, as well as rotating at the GWUMC Hospital treating serious community and hospital acquired infections. I am interested in the host defense to infectious diseases and participate in the clinical research activities of the Division of Infectious Diseases which focus on HIV/AIDS epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of opportunistic infections and the metabolic complications of anti-retroviral therapy.
