Writing Center @ Himmelfarb

Beginning fall 2011, The Writing Center will provide weekly office hours at the Himmelfarb Library to students in the School of Nursing, School of Public Health & Health Sciences and the School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

WHEN: Monday Tuesday
TIME: 4pm-7pm 6pm-9pm
LOCATION: Himmelfarb Library 1st Floor

APPOINTMENT: To make an appointment at the Writing Center's Himmelfarb satellite:

  1. If you've never visited the Writing Center (either in Gelman or Himmelfarb), go to http://www.gwu.edu/~gwriter/ and click on the link that says "Schedule your appointment here." Create an account for yourself so you're in the Writing Center's appointment system, and then call the Writing Center at 202-994-3765 and ask the receptionist to make you an appointment at the Himmelfarb satellite. After you've made your first appointment, you can make all future appointments using the online appointment system.
  2. If you've visited the Writing Center in Gelman but not Himmelfarb and already have an online account, call the Writing Center at 202-994-3765 and ask the receptionist to make you an appointment at the Himmelfarb satellite. After you've made your first appointment, you can make all future appointments using the online scheduling system.

If you've used the Himmelfarb Writing Center satellite before, go to http://www.gwu.edu/~gwriter/ and click on the link that says "Schedule your appointment here." After you sign in, you can choose to make an appointment with "Himmelfarb."

Help for DE Students:

Distance Learning: Schedule your appointment through the online system and send your paper (at least 24 hours in advance) to gwriter@gwu.edu. Include the name of your tutor, time of your session, and number you will be calling from.

Non-Native English Speaking Student:

For specific writing help as a non-native English speaking student please look into scheduling your appointment at the Language Center.
