VPN (GWireless)

GW faculty, staff, and students

Seamless, integrated access to all electronic resources.

Requirements

Users must have a GW NetID (GWMail or CMail login/password).

• GW NetIDs may be obtained from the GW Help Desk Account Center.
• Instructions for users who experience difficulty setting up their GW NetID.

Access Instruction

1. Turn off your internet browser's pop-up blocker or update settings to permit pop-ups from gwu.edu.
2. Access the Himmelfarb Library website, then click on VPN (GWireless) in the 'My Accounts' area.
3. Login to VPN (GWireless) with your GW NetID and password (the same login/password that you use for your GWMail or CMail).
4. Click OK to allow the software to run or enter your computer's password.
5. Access the Himmelfarb Library website again. You can now access databases, e-texts, and e-journals without any additional logins.

Troubleshooting

Your browser must allow pop-ups in order for you to connect to VPN (GWireless). Make sure your pop-up blocker is allowing the network connect window to open. Turn your pop-up blocker off or change settings to permit pop-ups from gwu.edu.
