Consortium Loan Service (CLS)

Himmelfarb Library now participates in the Consortium Loan Service. GWUMC affiliates can borrow materials not available at the Himmelfarb Library from other GWU libraries including Gelman, Eckles (Mt. Vernon campus) and the Northern Virginia campus (Ashburn) as well as other Washington Research Libraries Consortium (WRLC) libraries. These include American, Georgetown, Gallaudet, George Mason and Marymount Universities, and the University of the District of Columbia.

Requesting and Renewing Items:

To request items from these libraries via CLS, you will need to set up a "myALADIN" account. Complete instructions for creating an account and requesting materials can be found on the CLS website at http://www.gwu.edu/gelman/service/circulation/cls/

If you wish to renew an item you borrowed via CLS, you must place your renewal request via your "myALADIN" account.

Fees:

There is no charge for CLS requests however patrons are responsible for any and all overdue fines. These must be paid at the Gelman Library Circulation Desk.

Where to Pick Up and Return Materials:

All materials requested via CLS must be picked up and returned to the Gelman Library Circulation Desk.
