Board Review Resources

As you prepare to study for board exams, the Himmelfarb Library has a variety of resources to help you study.

The library owns several audio or software programs to help you review and test your knowledge. These programs include the web-based Exam Master software program (reviews content for USMLE steps one through three and the PANCE exam), Gold Standards Step 1 and Step 2 CDs, Emory University's Internal Medicine Review audio tapes, and Eurekanet's Audio Study Tapes. All of our electronic resources are available for use in the Bloedorn Technology Center on the third floor of the library, and the audiotapes may be checked out for use outside of the library as well.

The Himmelfarb Library also has an extensive collection of print review books for all three steps of the Board exams. Many of the review books are part of our reserve collection and circulate for seven day periods. The selection of print review materials is varied, ranging from broad overviews of topics (step 1, step 2, step 3) to books on specific topics (biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, pediatrics, emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology and more). All of our board review materials are included in the library's catalog, as well as on our Board Review Resources web pages (http://www.gwumc.edu/library/portals/medicinehs/rockboards.cfm).
