Library Testing New OVID@Hand Product

Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) users and Himmelfarb Library are testing a new OVID product called OVID@Hand. For anyone who has a PDA and wants to participate in evaluating this unique product, please contact Pat Wilson at 202-994-2853 or email to mlbphw@gwumc.edu. There is still time to explore the versatility of your PDA and OVID@Hand.

Ovid Technologies, the vendor Himmelfarb Library uses to deliver MEDLINE, developed OVID@Hand in cooperation with Unbound Medicine to help clinicians answer questions generated in their daily practice.

Subscribers can use their PDA to:

  • Track the latest articles from selected journals in their
  • personal library
  • Program OVID MEDLINE searches on questions arising in their practice
  • Retrieve point-of-care drug information
