Library Closing

Himmelfarb Health Science Library hours are 7:30am-12midnight Monday through Friday, and 9am-12 midnight Saturday and Sunday. The library closes its doors promptly at 12 midnight every night. With that fact in mind, users staying until closing time need to pack up belongings and begin exiting the library by 11:55.

Automatic shutdown of all library computers will occur at 12am, sharp. Please make sure that you have finished your work by 11:55 and saved it to your own device. Computer memory is wiped out completely once shutdown occurs, and we are unable to get any work back for you.

The library is open to all George Washington University faculty, staff and students Monday through Friday, 7:30am-6pm. The third floor, Bloedorn Technology Center and all study rooms are only available to Medical Center affiliates at all times. After 6pm weekdays and for the duration of weekends, ONLY Medical Center-affiliated faculty, staff and students should be in the library. Random ID checks are conducted during these hours, and all non medical-center affiliates will be asked to leave.
