Best wishes for 2008! The staff of the Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library looks forward to working with you in the upcoming year. Our facility has been refreshed with new paint and carpeting. New, faster copiers have been installed. Several new and exciting projects are underway.

In conjunction with the Dahlgren Memorial Library at Georgetown University, Himmelfarb Library was recently awarded a grant to initiate the "Healthy DC - GoLocal" project. The two libraries, with the assistance of the District of Columbia Association of Health Sciences Libraries, will create a database that links the health information in MEDLINEPlus to local health services. As we move into our second year of a nearly all-electronic collection, plans are underway to assist faculty and researchers with using the collection through on-site visits to promote the customized electronic delivery of information through RSS feeds and alerts services.
