PDA/Handheld Databases and Downloads

PDA resources have been updated and further integrated into the Himmelfarb Library website. As always, you can access the PDA/Handheld Databases & Downloads webpage to access a list of medical resources which can be downloaded to your PDA or handheld device. This list includes resources provided by Himmelfarb Library (e.g. PocketConsult (FIRSTConsult, MDConsult: Drugs / Clinical Pharmacology OnHand), freely accessible resources (e.g. epocrates Rx, Diagnosaurusand discount codes which provide a discount to GWUMC affiliates who wish to purchase software. The PDA/Handheld Databases & Downloads list is organized by type of information: drug information, disease information/textbooks, calculators & reference tools, clinical guidelines, and PubMed/Abstracting services.

Users can also access information about PDA resources to which Himmelfarb Library subscribes directly from the E-Databases webpage on Himmelfarb Library's website. The E-Databases webpage now contains a section on PDA/Handheld databases. This section lists all subscribed PDA databases, provides a basic description of each resources, and links to an instruction sheet with download instructions.
