Biomedical Communications Spotlight
FILM PROCESSING AND SO MUCH MORE!
On behalf of the entire Himmelfarb Library staff, I would
like to extend a warm welcome to all new Medical Center faculty,
staff, and students. I would also like to extend greetings
to all returning faculty and students on the start of a new
academic year. The Library staff looks forward to meeting
your information needs in the upcoming months. We The Biomedical
Communications Department at The George Washington University
Medical Center is a full service photography, duplication,
and graphics department. As a GW Medical Center student, you
are entitled to the wide variety of affordable, high quality
services offered at Biomedical Communications.
First of all, there are two convenient locations to drop
off personal film for processing. The film drop boxes are
located in front of our main office door, Ross Hall 324, and
in the Himmelfarb Library.
Have your 35mm, APS, or black and white film processed in
just a few days. Follow the simple instructions posted on
the drop box, drop your film in the slot, and wait for us
to call you when your processing is ready for pick-up. If
you drop off your film by 11am, it will be back within 2 days.
Its inexpensive, convenient, and fast!
In addition to personal film processing, we offer other services
that might be of interest to you. For example we provide instant
passport and INS photos, shoot formal portraits in our studio,
offer same day E6 color slide film processing, and we sell
single use cameras with flash for only $6.99. We also document
research in both film and digital formats, prepare research
data for publication, create and print poster presentations,
offer document printing and binding, and we produce high-resolution
color copies.
These are just a few of the many services we offer here at
Biomedical Communications. For a complete listing of our services,
please visit our website at www.gwumc.edu/biomed.
