Himmelfarb Library recently added Table of Contents information for many book, electronic resource, and media records in the Library Catalog. The enhanced content comes from Syndetics Solutions, Inc. Items that have table of contents information available will have a Contents link display under the book cover image in search results. Table of Contents can be viewed by clicking the 'A Look Inside' tab in the catalog record.

Book and journal cover art was added to the Library Catalog in September to enhance the catalog search experience and also to help users identify items on library shelves. The images appear in catalog search hit lists as well as when users select an individual title to view.

While cover art is available for most items in the Library Catalog, it is not available for all items. Generally, the newer the item the more likely it is to have jacket art available. The images are supplied by Syndetics Solutions, Inc., a company that provides content enrichment products to libraries.

Important change in Himmelfarb Library's email notification procedure!

The Circulation System used by Himmelfarb Library will begin sending out all its notices to your GW email account (GWMail for students and Colonial Mail for faculty and staff). If you do not use this account regularly, please consider setting up automatic forwarding so that library notices will reach the account you use most often.

If you would like to have your notices sent to a different email address, please stop by the Circulation Desk to provide us with that information. But be advised that the system will overwrite your preferred email address with the default at the beginning of Fall, Spring and Summer terms. So you'll need to contact us each semester.
