The Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Intermediate class, originally scheduled for this Friday, Apr 22, 2011 from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm, is now rescheduled for Monday, May 23 in Himmelfarb B103 from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm.
Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 allows users to create, view and edit files in Portable Document Format (PDF). Acrobat permits users to view documents which were created in various software programs on any computer. Acrobat preserves the look and layout of the source program, providing something similar to an electronic snapshot.

Come to Himmelfarb Library's workshop, Delving into digital dirt: social networking for individuals in health care. The popularity and prevalence of social media tools such as Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter has grown dramatically in recent years. During this session, we will discuss the social media do's and don'ts for health professionals - to help you to avoid posting content that may be detrimental to your professional career while developing a positive online presence using these tools. This session is designed for students and those who work with students. It will review the importance of a professional online presence and provide tips for creating an online professional presence. Sample guidelines from professional organizations will be reviewed.
