Open Access Week is coming to Himmelfarb Library, October 24-30! Join in the celebration of Open Access Week at the Open Access Publishing Forum. The Forum will feature a panel discussion about open access publishing opportunities at GW. The panel includes:
- Dr. Leo Chalupa - GW's Vice President of Research and champion of open access publishing

Learn about retaining your rights as an author in traditional journals and about open access publishing discounts for faculty, staff and students. Discover the benefits of publishing in open access journals as opposed to traditional journals. See how easy it is to submit your publications to our institutional repository, the Health Sciences Research Commons.
Throughout the week, you'll have an opportunity to stop by the Open Access Information Booth, which will provide valuable information on retaining your rights as an author, on publishing through our memberships with BioMed Central, Public Library of Science and BMJ Case Reports, on the NIH Mandate for publicly funded research and much more.
