Background: On December 1, 2008, The United States President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) launched an International World AIDS Day Poster Contest reflecting the theme, Celebrate Life. PEPFAR invited young people between the ages of 5 and 20 from around the world to submit posters displaying their original artwork. The collection of winning posters represents original artwork from five continents and sends a powerful message about youth awareness and engagement in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
