Tool of the Week: Journal Watch
Journal Watch, a new resource available at Himmelfarb Library, reviews nearly 300 top scientific and medical journals to present important clinical research findings and insightful commentary. Each review includes a summary of the research, the reviewer's comments, citation and links to the original article and/or MEDLINE/PubMed abstract. As a subscribed reader, you have the option of posting your own comments in response to the Journal Watch review.
Produced by the Massachusetts Medical Society, Journal Watch reviews journals in 13 specialties: Cardiology, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Gastroenterology, General Medicine, HIV/AIDS Clinical Care, Hospital Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Oncology & Hematology, Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, Psychiatry and Women's Health. Twenty special topics covering specific conditions such as Pregnancy/Infertility and Diabetes are also reviewed.
Users can also register for free Physician's First Watch daily news emails, plus 30 other specialty, topic and CME alerts to be delivered to their inboxes. Audio content including interviews and clinical conversations can be downloaded to MP3 players for listening on the run. Journal Watch CME Center provides an opportunity to earn AMA Category 1 Credits.
Journal Watch content is archived back to 1987.
