Need to make room on your bookshelves?

The 3rd annual Books Without Borders book drive begins today. Drop off your donations in the boxes located in the entranceway to the Himmelfarb Library (just before the security gate) or in the lobby of Ross Hall through April 30, 2008.

Books Without Borders is an organization based here at the GWU School of Medicine and Health Sciences, whose mission is to annually donate medical textbooks and literature to medical schools in areas of need. In 2006 and 2007 thousands of books were sent to universities in Eritrea and Rwanda, respectively.

The 2008 collection will benefit the general library at the University of Liberia. This year Books Without Borders will be collecting and donating books from the last 10 years or so in all academic disciplines, with particular emphasis on the general sciences, mathematics, and engineering.

All donations are tax-deductible, so bring your books in before April 30th to help update the library for the students at the University of Liberia.
