GWU - ISCOPES
ISCOPES involves teams of students, faculty and community advisors initiating community-based health projects at their respective community partner organizations. Depending on the strengths and needs of each particular partner organization, some teams will continue or enhance existing projects in support of the organization’s on-going efforts, while other teams will develop new projects to address the organization’s changing needs or goals. All projects actively involve the community to best address its particular strengths and concerns and to enhance the appropriateness and effectiveness of ISCOPES projects.
“Our team was focused, motivated and excited to take ownership of a Public Service Announcement that would reach more than 300,000 viewers in the Washington, DC area about the right to medical translation services.”
-Bridget Reutener, Public Health Student
